Jumping for joy - photos of Pat, an autistic four year old Thai boy

Although he is yet to talk, and for most of his day lives in his own special world, Pat likes to jump and he likes to sing. And for the most part he seems very contented. Taking photos of Pat is quite interesting and a challenge; he rarely stays still for more than a few seconds and he is always natural, as he has no concept of the camera. His laugh is infectious and he laughs often and he enjoys opening and closing doors; cupboard doors, fridge doors, front doors…… any door, and refuses to leave a door open. The following black and white photos capture his daily routine, plus a quick hair cut in the yard, which he finds slightly less agitating than a visit to the barbers.
